Kiri studied Physiotherapy at the University of Brighton and graduated with a first-class honours degree in 2008. Prior to this she undertook two years of a degree in Sports Rehabilitation and Injury Prevention and has since completed a post-graduate qualification in Acupuncture with the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP). She is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP) and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Kiri completed core junior rotations in medical and surgical at the QEQM hospital, then continued her band 5 training in the community within the cardiac rehabilitation and intermediate care teams. She went on to specialise in respiratory medicine and worked as a band 6 in pulmonary rehabilitation from 2010-2017. She re-directed into musculoskeletal out-patients in 2017 working at a GP surgery in Whitstable, where she has gained experience in treating a wide range of central and peripheral pain conditions.
She has a particular interest in pain management and takes a holistic approach to treatment, trying to promote self-efficacy where possible. She is keen to continue developing specialist skills in the treatment of shoulder and sacroiliac joint conditions specifically.
Outside of work, she is a very proud Mum of one! She is a complete water-baby and enjoys swimming, kayaking and scuba diving. She has swum competitively at national level and in 2014 completed a cross channel relay swim. More recently she has branched out into the amazing world of pole and aerial sports and is thriving on the challenge.
She is very pleased to be joining the team at Physiologic as this will enable her to work more closely to home and her family.
